The First Catholic Church for African-Americans in Dallas, est. 1905.

Welcome to the home page for St. Peter The Apostle Roman Catholic Community in Dallas, Texas. Pope Benedict XVI stated in 2010: “The world of digital communication, with its almost limitless expressive capacity, makes us appreciate all the more St. Paul’s exclamation: “Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel” (1 Cor 9:16) [...] as new technologies create deeper forms of relationship across great distances, they are called to respond pastorally by putting the media ever more effectively at the service of the Word.”

May God bless all our visitors. We hope you find something here to bring you back again to the value of the Gospel, to the  Church and our Community.

Our mission as Roman Catholics united in faith at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Dallas, Texas is to help bring God to people and people to God. Through evangelization, education and being of service to each other, we strive to make our parish community a holistic community in body, mind and spirit. It is our goal to develop, support, encourage and empower one another in our parish ministries, so that each person can reach their human and Christian potential. We are enthused about the future of St. Peter Parish and the whole Catholic Church and we pledge our participation in that future. We seek dialogue and open communication with all parishioners in fulfilling the needs of our parish. While recognizing the cultural diversities in our community, we will strive to bring all people together in Christ under a common bond of faith, hope and love.

We, the family at Saint Peter the Apostle, share in Christ's mission. Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church is a community dedicated to building the Kingdom of God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by the Roman  Catholic Church through Word, Sacraments and Service. Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Diocese if Dallas, was established over a century ago to minister to the pastoral needs of the African American  Community and had became a welcoming place in 1986 to the Polish immigrant population that had relocated to the DFW metropolitan area.
